"Trust in the Lord" - Proverbs 3:5

During this Stay at Home Order, I've had the opportunity to work on a new website for Memories of Home. I've also had time to think a lot about my little Memories of Home business. I miss being there. I miss visiting with you, the best customers in the world! I pray you are all well.
I've been thinking about the 6-1/2 years that we've been able to serve you. There have been ups and downs, celebrations and sadness, summers and winters, and now a new reality of health and sickness.
These extremes bring to mind a question. What gets you through life? How do you celebrate life's victories, and probably the even tougher question is how do you get through the hard stuff? Maybe you've been laid-off. Maybe unpaid bills are piling up. Maybe you're alone. Maybe you just don't know how you will ever be able to get back on your feet again.
Back ages ago in 1977, I was confirmed in my faith in Jesus as my Savior. I chose a special verse found in Proverbs that shared what I thought was an important point to remember. The verse said, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6 Little did I know at the time how the roller coaster of life would hurl opportunities at me to hold on to the dear life that this verse would offer me.
TRUST. Is it easy? Not always. Will it ever let me down? Nope! I may not see it immediately, but as I have aged from that young girl back in 1977, I see it over and over again. Any time His way is sought after and followed, there will be a beautiful outcome. The puzzle can only be completed best if He is the one putting the pieces together. That is what trust in Jesus is all about. It requires talking to Him, seeking after Him, and then setting aside my supposed knowledge for His unquestionable knowledge.
What a joy to provide gifts of encouragement so that you and your loved ones may also trust in the Lord who loves and guides us all.
